Infrared Heat
Studies have shown that a heated practice improves strength, flexibility, and mental wellbeing. The heat makes a difference. As you walk into our hot rooms you will feel a gentle heat that will increase as you move through class. Our infrared system use radiant panels to warm your body directly, rather than the surrounding air. This type of heat provides a sun-like therapeutic warmth that safely penetrates your muscles. The surrounding air stays more breathable while you still get the deep flexibility and sweat benefits of a traditional (hot air) heated room. Some of the benefits of an infrared system are:
-
Deeper flexibility: infrared heat penetrates tissue directly, increasing joint mobility and relaxing muscles faster and more effectively than other methods allowing you to go deeper in your postures
-
Detoxification and Circulation: the radiant infrared heat stimulates blood flow, oxygenating the blood and promoting the release of toxins through sweating, your body’s natural cooling system
-
Enhanced Recovery: The body expends extra energy to regulate its core temperature, which can boost calorie burn and relieve chronic muscle or joint pain
-
Comfortable breathing: because infrared heat does not heat the air or blow hot air around, the room feels less “suffocating” and it is easier to breathe in deeply
-
Stress Reduction: infrared rays reduce cortisol levels and promote relaxation by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system (your “rest and digest” system) making your final Savasana even more restorative and calming

Leadership
We believe that when the right people find the right place, everything flows. Our team is made up of leaders who live their yoga — people who care deeply, teach intentionally, and create experiences that move more than the body. If you take a look around in any given class, you'll see one or more of us right next to you, sweating it out. As Ram Das said, "We are all just walking each other home" and we plan to walk with you each and every step of the way.
